INTERNSHIP JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Church College Intern
Duration: Summer 2026
Location: Northern Light Church of Christ, Brooklyn Park, MN
Reports To: Senior Minister, Jim Hinton

Position Overview

The Church College Intern will assist with ministry activities at a Church of Christ congregation, gaining practical experience while upholding the teachings and values consistent with Church of Christ doctrine. This internship is ideal for college students seeking to deepen their faith and contribute to the church community.

Key Responsibilities

• Support church staff in organizing worship services and church events in alignment with Church of Christ practices
• Assist with youth and college ministry programs, including planning and leading activities that reflect biblical teachings
• Manage social media and communication efforts to positively represent the church
• Participate in community outreach and service projects
• Provide administrative support such as preparation of materials, record-keeping, and scheduling
• Attend weekly staff meetings and trainings to grow in ministry knowledge
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college or university
• Active faith and commitment to the beliefs and practices of the Church of Christ
• Preferably a local candidate from the Twin Cities, MN area
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passionate about serving the church and helping others grow spiritually
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Basic proficiency with social media and Microsoft Office or Google Suite
• Reliable, responsible, and punctual
