ABOUT THIS ROLE

Our Mission at Creek Kids is to partner with parents in order to engage, equip, and excite our youngest members as they learn the Bible, grow in their relationship with God, and develop a faith to call their own. 

Creekside Church is seeking a Children’s Minister who has a passion for engaging, equipping, and exciting our youngest members as they learn the Bible, grow in their relationship with God, and develop a faith to call their own. This individual will seek to offer a safe and engaging experience that will help each child and family to grow in their love and faith in the Lord. This person understands the importance of engaging the entire family and promotes partnership with the parents to accomplish the overall goal of leading the children to Christ. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Oversees the children’s ministry in accordance with the mission and vision of Creekside Church, and in concert with Student ministry. This includes 9:30 and 10:30 Bible classes on Sunday morning for Nursery through 5th grade, large group children’s worship planning for both preschool and elementary, Wednesday night programming, and all Creek Kids special events and oversight of the Childcare Coordinator. 
• Stewardship of the children’s ministry budget and church resources. 
• Recruits, trains, and develops volunteers 
• Chooses curriculum that aligns with Creekside’s vision and mission and teaches Biblically-centered messages, including life application. 
• Plans and implements Creek Kids events and trips as required and in alignment with the mission and vision of Creekside Church. 
• Keeps responsible office hours and communicates when out of the office. 
• Keeps accurate and up to date records including attendance and medical release forms for trips and events. 
• Utilizes planning center to complete assigned workflows, schedule volunteers, monitor background checks, and properly oversee the success or opportunities of the ministry. 
• Is an involved member of the overall Creekside ministry by attending leadership meetings, worship services, and staff meetings. 
• Oversees and plans regular events including grade level group events, large outreach events, or all church-wide events such as small group bonding events, baby dedications, summer outreach events, camps, and more. 
• Strategically connects with area schools and communities. 
• Strategically connects with parents and families working in partnership with them in the discipleship process with their kids. 
• Makes connections with area ministers and seeks community with them.

• A love for children and a servant-leadership mentality.
• A team player capable of maintaining and promoting healthy staff relationships.
• Has knowledge of (or is willing to learn) Planning Center, Playlister, Pro-Presenter, Canva, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
