Welcome: If you desire to glorify God with your unique Spirit-filled gifts, work in a ministry that is reaching its community with the saving power of Jesus Christ our Lord, and desire to be a part of a spiritually maturing and numerically growing church, then SOLID Christian Church may be the ministry your search has led you toward. Within the four years of our church plant (starting in January 2000), God has richly planted us in a fertile soil, sustained us through a difficult Covid year, taught us the valuable lessons of the early church in Acts, provided the resources and building facilities to carry out our mission, and has enriched our congregation with tremendous growth and unity.  Now, we are looking to take another step of faith and bring within our ministry another faithful servant of Christ.  This faithful minister will be able to use their spiritual gifts to help reap an immense harvest.

History and Affiliation: SOLID Christian Church is an independent Christian Church planted in Holton, Kansas in January of 2020.  The church is rooted in the American Restoration Movement of the early 1800’s and connected to the Christian Church and Churches of Christ movement.  As Thomas Campbell stated in the Declaration and Address, “The Bible alone is our guidance for matters of doctrine, structure and practice.  Where the Scriptures speak, we speak; where the scriptures are silent, we are silent.” Our church focuses on the unity of believers through faith in Jesus Christ and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit.  We are fast growing church that is Biblically sound, Christ-centered, and missionally focused on discipleship.

Reporting: SOLID is governed by an official board that is led by the Sr. Minister.  The AMD will report directly to the Sr. Minister of the church.

Weekly Average Attendance Range: SOLID CC is a steadily growing church.  Right now, we currently average 80-100 congregants per week. 

Responsibilities: Some of the responsibilities are listed below but are not exhaustive.

• The AMD will work closely with the Senior Minister by providing administrative and ministerial support to the body of believers.
• The AMD will teach regular lessons for the congregation. This can include Bible Studies, Devotions, Sunday School Lessons, Sermons, and Small Group Lessons throughout the week.  The individual must be able to reach and connect to different age groups within the church.  Depending on the strengths of the candidate, the Sr. Minister will determine what age groups are more appropriate for AMD’s strengths and spiritual gifts. 
• The AMD will help provide outreach and evangelism to our community in Christ-centered organizations and events. 

Job Requirements

Requirements: The following requirements are needed by potential candidates.

• The applicant must be called by God into the ministry and have a deep desire to help SOLID CC fulfill its church’s vision and goals, while being faithful to the statement of faith.  (Please see our website https://www.solidinchrist.com, “What We Believe”). 
• The applicant must have at least bachelor’s degree from a Bible College in a ministry related field, and preferably from a Restoration college.
• The applicant must be teachable, have a desire to spiritually grow in their faith and abilities, and must be a highly motivated individual.
• The applicant must have great teaching, evangelistic, and interpersonal skills.
• The applicant must have great organization and management skills.

Job Benefits

Basic Salary Package: The AMD will be given a salary package of $30-50,000 depending on credentials and experience. Opportunities for raises are available and are dependent upon the reviews of the S.M. and the Official Board.  If the candidate desires to have bivocational status, arrangements can be worked out.
