GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
• Pays vendors by scheduling and preparing checks, in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and preparing checks.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Performs monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintains historical records by filing documents.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completed related results as needed.
• Learn and become proficient using cloud-based donation processing software.
• Learn and become proficient using accounting software utilized by Texas Girls & Boys Ranch.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures.
• Proficient with a personal computer in data entry, including knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
• Possesses strong general math skills.
• Attention to detail. 
• Thorough, organized and has ability to prioritize.
• Ability to analyze information.
• Strong communication skills, including ability to develop vendor relationships.
• Ability to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
