BACKGROUND

Must be a baptized believer in Jesus. Deep respect for Scripture and Christ-centered theology is essential.

Someone who embraces our Church of Christ tradition but leads with openness, grace, and a heart for

renewal.

EDUCATION

A bachelor’s degree is required, a ministry-related field is strongly preferred. Graduate-level biblical or

theological education is preferred and valued by our highly educated congregation.

FAMILY

Married with children is preferred, as it helps connect more naturally with the demographics of our church

and broader community. We are seeking someone who models strong family values and leadership.

SKILLS

A strong communicator, both in preaching and in writing, who brings theological depth with practical

application. The ideal candidate is also organized and goal-oriented, able to plan ministry efforts

thoughtfully, follow through with consistency, and help the church move forward with purpose and clarity.

QUALITIES

A visionary leader who can cast direction, energize others, and lead with contagious enthusiasm in

reaching Kingwood and the surrounding communities for Christ, as well as through his own discipleship. A

collaborative teambuilder who works well with elders and staff. Confident but humble, approachable, and

able to relate to people across generations.
