Childrens Minister

Conejo Valley Church of Christ is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children’s Minister to lead our ministry for children from nursery through 5th grade. He or she will join our full-time preachinig and youth ministers in serving Conejo Valley families and our broader community

Job Requirements

• Plan and lead children’s ministry programs on Sunday mornings
• Recruit, train, and support volunteer teachers and helpers
• Review and select curriculum that teaches biblical lessons in age-appropriate and engaging ways
• Ensure a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for all children
• Equip families to foster the spiritual formation of their children
• Communicate regularly with parents and families about ministry activities 
• Coordinate special events such as Vacation Bible School, family events, and holiday programs
• A personal and growing faith, with membership in a Church of Christ preferred
• A passion for working with children and aiding their spiritual formation
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• A self-starter who manages time and prioritizes tasks effectively
• Ability to recruit and lead volunteer teams
