Our youth ministry at Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ (known as The Rock Youth Ministry) exists to lead young people to a faithful relationship with Jesus Christ. We want our middle school and high school students
and their families to live out their love for God, their love for others, and their joy for what God has done in their lives as they learn and grow in their faith. We are seeking a Youth Minister to join our ministry team that will ensure our students are well supported in their walk with God and surrounded by faithful Christian mentors to walk alongside them. Working together we will live out our love for God in worship, in studying scripture, in serving others, and in challenging and strengthening our
faith.

Job Requirements

Ideal skills and experience:

• 3-5 years of youth ministry experience within the churches of Christ
• Bachelor's degree in Bible or Ministry
• Excellent communication skills
• Song leading skills
• Tech savvy with presentation skills and aptitude for social media
• Additional audio/visual skills are nice to have
• Available to work extended hours, evenings, over weekends and public holidays, and on short notice
  as needed

Ideal candidate attributes:

• Passionate about ministering to young people and their families
• Holds a solid and respectful understanding of scripture
• Effective in teaching and communicating with teens and their families
• Exercises maturity making godly choices in their own life, and teaches young people to do the same
• Possesses wisdom to counsel youth (and their families) as needs arise
• Blessed with humility to know when their abilities and/or experience are exceeded and when to ask for help
• Collaborates and works well as part of a broader ministry team
• Married to a Christian wife
