
Communications Manager

Lubbock Impact is hiring a part-time Communications manager! The Communications Manager will tell the story of Lubbock Impact cohesively and concisely. This will be accomplished via all communications platforms; especially email, social, and digital media to raise awareness, increase donations, volunteerism, and participation in programming.
Job Requirements
1. Unify Lubbock Impact’s message across all communications platforms.
2. Oversee Facebook and Instagram accounts and create graphics and captions to post across platforms multiple times a week.
3. Brainstorm and execute communications campaigns to promote interest in areas of
service, givebacks, and community support.
4. Interview participants, volunteers, and donors and then compose story pieces to be
shared across communication channels. This includes print, video, and digital content.
5. Create and manage all content for projects such as the monthly eNewsletter, videos, social media, etc.
6. Regularly update and maintain the Lubbock Impact website with current content.
7. Provide administrative assistance with Lubbock Impact fundraisers.
8. Photograph occasional ministry events as needed.
9. Help with other communications efforts as needed, such as creating PowerPoints for presentations, flyers for events, informational cards, various marketing materials, etc.
Required skills + qualifications:
- Proficiency in Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- 1-3 years of experience in managing social media for nonprofit/corporate entity is preferred
- Compassionate and willing to tell the stories of the working poor
- Able to work up to 25 hours a week. This will be mostly between 8:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Thursday in the Lubbock Impact office each week
