Join the First UMC Kids Team!

Do you enjoy working with kids and want a fun, meaningful job with flexible hours? We’re looking for caring and energetic team members to serve in our church nursery, working with children from infants through elementary school.

As part of the First Kids staff, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where kids feel loved and parents feel confident leaving them in your care.

What You’ll Do

Care for children with age-appropriate activities (feeding, diapering, helping with the bathroom, nap time, and playtime).

Engage with kids in a positive, playful, and encouraging way.

Interact warmly and respectfully with parents, volunteers, and staff.

Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized space.

Assist with special church events as you’re available.

Schedule & Flexibility

Required: Sunday mornings (8:30am–12:30pm) + one Friday evening per month.

Optional: Extra shifts on Wednesday evenings or Saturdays (you pick up based on your availability).

Time off is flexible and easy to request.
