Job Description and Requirements

1. Teach and coordinate Children’s Ministry classes.
   1. Recruit and equip volunteers to teach and serve.
   2. Teach three quarters of the year (rotation would look like Q1: Preschool, Q2: Kinder-2nd, Q3: 3rd-5th class Q4: off)
   3. Select and prepare curriculum, equip and train teachers to use curriculum.
   4. Maintain workroom and supplies in classrooms
2. Maintain Regular Office Hours
   1. Ministry often happens outside of the office, but office hours are important, typically our staff works 9-4 Monday-Thursday.
   2. Maintain communication with elders, deacons, ministry staff, and volunteers.
   3. Attend Wednesday Meetings (staff at 11:00 AM and elders at 5:15 PM)
3. Background checks
   1. Submit to and pass a background check
   2. Keep volunteer background checks up-to-date, and give new volunteers background checks
4. Plan coordinate and oversee Children’s Ministry Events
   1. Yearly children’s/community events such as 
      1. Trunk or treat
      2. Easter Egg Hunt
      3. Vacation Bible School
      4. Christmas Program
   2. Regular Meetings
      1. Family Devo Night
      2.  Children’s Church/Nursery
   3. Other events as needed/desired
5. Build Lasting Relationships
   1. With students as they learn and grow in Christ (1 Peter 2:2)
   2. With parents as they are the teachers of their children (Deut 6:7)

Job Requirements

1. Have an active and growing faith in Jesus Christ.
2. Have a desire to work with parents, children and families.
3. Be an active and participating member of the Church.
4. Have a bachelor's degree. (Education or Bible/Ministry preferred).
5. Pass a Background Check
