Youth Minister

The Stockdale Church of Christ is seeking a full time Youth Minister to lead our 6th – 12th grade youth program in developing faithful followers of Jesus. As the Youth Minister your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and manage a viable youth ministry for the congregation.  This includes teen bible classes, spiritual growth opportunities, special events/programs. 
• Develop a relationship with the teens and their parents
• Meet regularly with the youth deacons to plan and coordinate ministry activities
• Work with the leadership and the parents in your efforts
• Work together with the ministry staff in other areas of ministry as needed to promote the overall health and welfare of the congregation
• Keep an office presence/availability
• Participate in the leadership team activities and responsibilities such as monthly meetings, retreats, etc.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead all youth activities by:
  • Creating a calendar of events each year
  • Develop, manage and report on the youth budget together with the finance deacons and bookkeeper
  • Advertising and promoting events
  • Check with other ministries of the church to avoid conflicting events / resources
