PUPROSE & OVERVIEW

The Women’s Resident at Southcrest Baptist Church plays a
vital role in assisting the Women’s Minister to help women
find their greatest pleasure and purpose in Jesus. This position
is essential in upholding our team’s commitment to the
spiritual flourishing, equipping, and mobilization of women in
our local church.

As a Women’s Ministry Resident, you will have the opportunity
to assist with event coordination, manage our Women’s
Ministry podcast and social media platforms, lead outreach
initiatives, and cultivate a welcoming and intentional
community. This position reports directly to Melissa Meredith,
the Women’s Minister, and also collaborates with the
Women’s Ministry Team. You will play a vital role in promoting
growth and development within the Women's Ministry.

This position is considered part-time, receives

benefits at a Tier 5 level, and is classified as non-
exempt.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborative effort to support the flourishing, discipleship, and mobilization of women
  • Coordinate with local non-profits for outreach efforts
  • Coordinate with vendors for event supplies
  • Oversee inventory and assembly of care packages for women in crisis
  • Help create pathways and processes to connect people to our ministry
  • Ensure follow-up, continued connection, and follow-through with attendees of events and ministries
  • Help create and implement events that assist with the connections and assimilation process of new female members
  • Provide necessary logistical support during events
  • Assist in cultivating Southcrest Women’s podcast, Legacy & Light
  • Manage Southcrest Women’s social media platforms including creating content & reels
  • Execute communication and marketing plans for events & resources
  • Other administrative and ministry tasks as assigned
  • Teaching opportunities available
  • Support other ministry projects and events as needed

Job Requirements

Part-time position; Monday-Friday, 15-25 hours per week, with extended hours required for occasional travel or weekend events.

Regular hours can be built around college/masters classes or secondary job.

Able to be flexible and open to change, manage their own schedule, and handle interruptions.

Availability to serve some nights and weekends as well as overnight travel (Church Leaders Conference).
