Ole Miss Campus Minister
Categories Bible Expires: 17th June, 2024 Mississippi
The Oxford Church of Christ (www.ococ.org) in Oxford, Mississippi, seeks a qualified candidate to lead the Rebels for Christ Campus Ministry (https://www.rfcms.org) at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), starting in June of 2024.
The campus minister is responsible for leading the mission to share Jesus with Ole Miss students, teaching and discipling students who come to campus with faith, and nurturing a vibrant student faith community that promotes time in God’s Word, involvement in a small group, and strong connection to the local church. The ministry’s long-term goal is to cultivate within Ole Miss students a faith in Jesus and a Christian worldview that will help them navigate the complexities of campus and launch them into a kingdom-centered life beyond their college years.
The campus minister is also responsible for managing a staff that includes student leaders and apprentices who are training for ministry.
Founded in 1960, Rebels for Christ (RFC) works in partnership with the OCOC and under the oversight of its shepherds. The RFC facility is located just across the street from the Ole Miss Campus and its 24,000-plus students (409 Jackson Ave W. Oxford, MS 38655).
